He was buried in Flemingsburg in the family plot in Mt Olivet Cemetery. On 10 Oct 1900 at Middlesboro, Bell Co KY, he married LOUIE BELL POLLITTE, b 3 Sept 1879, d 18 Mar 1918, daughter of WILLIAM THOMAS POLLITTE and his wife ANNIE ELIZA COOPER. His second marriage was to BERTHA HULL BOWMAN. There were no children of the second marriage.

He married MIRIAM ELIZABETH PIERCE at Marion KY in 1923. They lived in Hazard KY, where he was a pharmacist.

Miriam was born in Marion, Crittenden Co KY in 1898. She was a music graduate from the University of Louisville Conservatory. She was a Chatauqua performer and a music teacher, principally in Hazard KY. She died in Rochester MN in 1987 from a stroke.

He married ELIZABETH OWENS. She was born at Newark NJ on 21 Nov 1926, but the family home was in Wood-Ridge, NJ. He was a colonel in the U.S. Air Force, and is an orthopedic and hand surgeon. He has been an academic professor in the USAF (Colonel at Wilford Hall USAF Hospital in San Antonio, TX), the Mayo Medical Center (Rochester MN) and the University of Texas in San Antonio. The couple are now retired and are living in Rochester MN (2008).
